Pain represents one of the most important burdens and challenges in medicine. Pain management has largely evolved in the last decades. The introduction into the market of new technologies and devices has influenced the choices of the pain physicians. Chronic back pain, at any level, is one of the most diffuse and challenging syndromes requiring the attention of health-care professionals interested in pain management. It is of great interest for several medical specialists, e.g., orthopedics, physiatrists, rheumatologists, neurosurgeons, psychologists, and also for pain physicians, especially for the ones interested in interventional pain management. This chapter is focusing the attention on a few interventional possibilities, but especially on endoscopy, describing indications, learning curves, and limits, while used in low back pain patients. At the end, it also describes the potential future applications, in the opinion of the authors.
